QuEChERS is an efficient and robust sample pretreatment technology. Its name comes from the initial letter combination of English words describing the characteristics of the method, namely: quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe. This method was first proposed by anastasisdes and lehotay of the U.S. Department of agriculture in 2003. The method uses water-soluble organic solvent ethylene wax as extraction agent, and realizes the efficient extraction of pesticide residues in high water content fruit and vegetable samples through the combination of extraction, salting out and dehydration purification.
